Down Stage Write presents four filmed monologues commissioned from members of their Write Out Loud LGBTQ+ writer development programme.

From the struggles of gay parenthood to forging a place for your identity in a world that resists it these short pieces from Devon and Cornwall writers take a wry and heartfelt look at the LGBTQ+ experience today.

The proceeds of this event will go directly towards funding Down Stage Write’s future work of the Write Out Loud project.

A collection of script in hand performances directed by local female directors, with music and poetry from members of Plymouth based group Feminist Fusion.

Theatre Uncut is an organisation that annually commissions leading playwrights to create short plays that tackle political and social issues. They then release these plays, rights free, to be performed by anyone anywhere. This year’s collection of plays are the Power Plays, exploring the theme of power from the female perspective.
